Taking a flight from Chengdu to Yangshuo

We take our time and go to the city centre. Because we have a night flight to Guilin we extend our stay in the hotel till 7 PM. We ask at the reception to write us down an address in Chinese to the airport. They did not understand what we want, so at the end the receptor agreed that he personally shows us where to go. At first he tried to get us a taxi but after 5 minutes no taxis were free. He decides that he will take us to the bus station, so that we can get a cheaper drive to the airport. We walk for about 10 minutes and that is not an easy task with our backpacks. We thank him and give him 10 Yuan so he can take the taxi back to the hotel.
At 8 o'clock we arrive at the airport. We get in line for the check in but we find out that our flight is canceled so we must wait two more hours for the next flight. Because we have arranged a pickup at the airport in Guilin we had to notify that we are going to be late. A nice girl at the information desk offered us her own phone, so that we called our transportation that we will be late.
We land in Guilin at 2 o'clock in the morning and drive to Yangshuo one more hour. With the train we would need 25 hours whereas with the airplane only 2 hours. We also got a 41% discount for the air tickets, so we payed 490 Yuan instead of the original 1200 Yuan.
