Pagodas in Xian

Details
Written by Jure Štern

Despite bad weather, which follows us from Wednesday, we make good use of the last day in Xian and go to see the pagodas. These are Buddhist sacred buildings, which are often build in a special tower shape. Origin of Buddhism originally comes from India but it spread to China with the help of trade and political bonds between China and India. We have a look at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Soon we get hungry, that is why we stop in a nearby restaurant. we look at the menu which was in Chinese language. Not knowing what we should order a guest comes to us and translates the whole menu.We are surprised and happy so at the end we thank him :).

When returning to the hotel we turn in a street that reminds us of a bazaar. We put our bargain skills to test and buy some souvenirs.
