We arrived at Xian at eight in the morning. Before we look around, we are approached from a young girl which finds tourist a place to rest. We try to avoid her but she is very persistent. We talk with her and we find out that she is OK and the she drives us to the hotel and reserves us a hotel room. After we eat the breakfast we go to the Xian City Walls, which were build in 1370 in the time of the Ming dynasty. We rent a double bike (40 Yuan for 100 minutes and 200 Yuan deposit) and are riding the fourteen kilometers long and twelve metres high city wall. It is one of the rarest city walls, that is still standing in China and is walkable in all his length.
We also pass by the two towers in the city - Bell Tower and Drum Tower. In the past they used the Bell Tower to announce the beginning of the day and with the Drum Tower the end of the day. After walking around the town we coincidentally find a Starbucks Cafe and have a nostalgic feeling from our trip in London. We can not resist and we go have a cup of coffee.
